- My grandfather painted all his life and would set up little easels in his garden for my sister and me whenever we visited. His encouragement was all we needed. Leaning towards trial and error over formal teaching, I emerged with a preference for experimentation. While my art interests are diverse, fused glass and oil painting remain true passions that indicate how my style evolves from realism to impressionism and back again. I enjoy being challenged by artistic problem solving projects, including social justice. When I was 21, I began exhibiting my paintings in street festivals. Aging gracefully now, I prefer the ease of gallery shows but remain a part-time gypsy. I've always strived to bring glory to God through my work. Sightings
My work has been shown in San Francisco, Coconut Grove, Venice and Sarasota galleries. I taught painting at the Dance Palace in Marin, CA in the 1980's. I am a former member of the San Francisco Women Artists, the Marin Arts Guild, the Women’s Caucus of Art, the Suncoast Glass Guild, Art Center Sarasota and ARTarget.
